So it is finally Fall. I love the Fall so much and the weather has gotten me nostalgic about earlier this year when I convinced my friend to start a blog. We were going to be accountability partners for each other to post often, but turns out, she moved to Kentucky… sooooooooo, with that among other events of the year, I have forgotten about my 3 fans that like to read my blog.
Anyways, here we are in Q4 of the year. I had a conversation with a friend yesterday about New Year’s resolutions and how if you wait until December to make them, you’re far too late. So as October is coming to an end, I have started to pre-think about my resolutions that I will actually think about in November.
All that to say, I should probably update my 19 for 2019 and reflect on how terribly I have forgotten about my goals for the year. To be fair, I have a habit of getting to May (one of my two busiest months of the year) and taking a short break from my goals, (just to survive the busyness) only to not pick them back up in the Summer. Okay, here we go:
1: Update Spotify playlists
I have, unconscious to my 19, created many new playlists for the year. Two of my favorites are Self-Recovery (songs I have loved in my past and will always love) and Self-Discovery (song that are new to me, but I love). The recovery playlist is especially nostalgic because most of the songs are associated with some of the best memories of high school.
2: Make a tap board
This is in the works. I have 1/3 of the materials at my house, and in my defense, the one material that I do have was the hardest to obtain. So basically, I just need to take a trip to Lowe’s and get the other 2 and then assemble.
3: Replace car key battery
4: Get car repaired
Lol, this is probably going to be on my 20 for 20 if I choose to do that.
5: Clean car
I did this right before I went on 3 more road trips, so I need to do it again, but nonetheless, I completed the task.
6: Travel solo
Yes! I went to London, England by myself this year and it was a wonderful experience!
7: Take a day trip to Savannah, GA
Okay, not yet but this is one of the few I am still hopeful about.
8: Have a spa day
I drew myself a bath with a Lush bath bomb and put on a face mask. I set some mood lighting, lit a candle, and listened to jazz music while I ate a giant bowl of fruit. I count that as a spa day and honestly, I will give myself extra credit because I didn’t spend $400 for it.
9: Make 3 new friends
As you can see, I have forgotten about this list. I have had a crazy year, so I do have a little grace for myself. I don’t expect to finish all of these before the year is over, but who knows? Now that I think about it, it sounds like a fun challenge. Stay tuned later this week for part 2 of the list.
